Crown Entertainment Complex
State-of-the-art movie theatres, cafes and nightclubs make this a lively place. There are 17 bars, 35 restaurants and many specialty stores. Along the promenade, eight columns that overflow with water by day, shoot fireballs at night. Try your luck at the Crown Casino.

Eureka Skydeck 88
Experience spectacular views and ride at Skydeck 88 on 'The Edge'. This is a glass paneled cube that projects three metres out from the building - with you in it - while suspended almost 300 metres above the city. Subject to weather conditions and wind speeds.

Melbourne Maritime Museum, home of Polly Woodside
The graceful, three-masted barque, Polly Woodside , restored by volunteers, is the centrepiece of this maritime museum. Visitors can marvel at the complexity of her rigging; see how the crew lived; smell the tar and rope in the Forepeak store and listen to the ship creaking and heaving on her mooring ropes. The onshore museum is housed in historic 1930's cargo sheds and features models, photographs and displays.

National Gallery of Victoria
The NGV has two magnificent galleries located a short distance apart - both with free entry to the permanent collection.
NGV International houses a breathtaking collection from Europe, Asia, America and Oceania.
The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia is the home of Australian art, presenting the history of Indigenous and non-Indigenous art, photography, fashion and decorative arts.

Southgate
Handy to the arts precinct and the Crown Entertainment Complex, Southgate is an excellent place to shop and dine. Sculptures line the riverbank and an arched footbridge joins the area to the city. The precinct is a major departure point for river cruises and on Sundays, a popular art and craft market operates.
