Bellerive
Beautiful Bellerive is part of the Convict Trail and the Hobart Experience. Cross the Tasman Bridge and browse in Bellerive Historic Village, peruse the beaches or visit the 1885 Kangaroo Bluff Battery built to defend Hobart from invasion.

Port Arthur Historic Site
Australia's premier historic site is situated only 1.5 hours from Hobart CBD. Explore over 30 historic buildings and ruins, extensive grounds, beautiful gardens, self-guided walking trails, picnic areas, the museum, theatrette and interpretation gallery. All this plus an introductory guided tour and a harbour cruise aboard the luxury catamaran MV Marana are included in your site entry. Additional tours include guided tours of Point Puer, Isle of the Dead (Cemetery) and the very popular Historic Ghost Tours after dark.

Port Arthur Historic Site is pleased to announce that the Melbourne Welsh Male Choir will be performing live at Port Arthur Historic Site on Easter Sunday!
The performance will begin at 2pm and the price for admission is included with site entry (Ticket of Leave holders will therefore be admitted free of charge). The choir will be performing in the large convict church, weather permitting and are sure to be heard from here to Victoria!
Site entry also includes a guided tour, a harbour cruise and access to the buildings for two consecutive days! There are of course additional tour such as Isle of the Dead Cemetery Tour, Point Puer Boys Prison Tour, our new Audio Tours and of course the very popular Historic Ghost Tours after dark. A great excuse to get away for the holidays!

Richmond
Just 20 minutes from Hobart you’ll discover this beautiful Georgian village. Food, wine, art and heritage is what this village is all about; situated in the Coal River Valley you are surrounded by 30 vineyards creating award-winning cool climate wines. Restaurants and cafes in Richmond feature some of Tasmania’s finest fare. From fine dining to casual eating, the local specialties are oysters, salmon, venison, fruits and cheeses. The historic buildings are beautifully preserved and are now village shops, galleries, B&B’s, restaurants and tea rooms. The convict built bridge in the heart of Richmond, is the oldest bridge in Australia. It was built between 1823 and 1825 and leads you over to St John’s Catholic Church, Australia’s oldest remaining Catholic Church built in 1836. You can really lose yourself in Richmond, with so much to see and do it doesn’t have to be just a day trip. Why not stay a night or two!

Eaglehawk Neck
At this narrow strip of land guards with dogs were posted to make sure there were no escapes from nearby Port Arthur. Today surfers ride waves and travellers stop to take in dramatic coastal views and for refreshments at the pretty settlement that has become an accommodation centre.

Sorell
Sorell and its neighbouring coastal towns is a region rich in scenery of pristine beaches and countryside. Areas of historical significance are complimented by local attractions, gourmet food with excellent wineries and high quality accommodation. Sorell, only 10 minutes from Hobart Airport offers many outstanding services to travellers.

Tasman National Park
Tasman National Park protects forest and spectacular coastline from Cape Surville to Waterfall Bay and Fortescue Bay; and from Cape Hauy to Cape Pillar and Cape Raoul. The park incorporates several off-shore islands, including Fossil Island, Hippolyte Rocks and Tasman Island. It is an area of great beauty and natural diversity, including some of the most stunning coastal scenery anywhere in Australia. Not surprisingly, the park offers some of the best coastal walks in the country. Many interesting rock formations can be found along the coastline. The park is also home to a wide range of land and marine animals, and several species of rare plants.

Barilla Bay
Located within minutes of the city of Hobart and the airport, the Barilla Bay Oyster Farm is open to the general public almost every day of the year. Barilla Bay Oysters are grown and harvested in Australia's premium shellfish growing environment, the cold clean Southern Ocean waters of South East Tasmania. Enjoy fine dining, produce and oyster farm tours.

Tasmania Distillery

The Tasting House
The Tasting House stocks a tempting range of fine Tasmanian made products, from the edible to the wearable. Look out for such delicacies as quince paste, mustards, relishes, jams, sauces, honeys, olive oil, fudges, fruit wines and liqueurs, and spices such as saffron, native pepper berry. They sell cheeses from Ashgrove and Lactos as well as a range of the King Island products.
